Oh hey there!
Welcome to So Relatable, a bi-weekly newsletter about creative projects, big goals, and delicious snacks. In each issue you’ll find conversations about the creative process, updates on my writing projects, ideas for nourishing yourself, and a few great links to keep you inspired.
Who writes this thing?
I’m Chrissy Hennessey, an enthusiastic snacker and native New Yorker living in coastal North Carolina. I have an MFA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and work as a senior marketing specialist at a fintech company. My writing has appeared in Joyland, Flyway, Necessary Fiction, Heavy Feather Review, storySouth, and LIT, among others, and I’ve received fellowships to the Weymouth Center, the Vermont Studio Center, and Aspen Summer Words. I’ve written three novels and a short story collection, and have yet to publish any of them! But I keep trying, and that’s what counts.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me waking up early, walking my dog, visiting the library, lifting weights, checking my budget, tending my chickens, watering my plants, or hanging out with my husband. Despite the current and eternal state of the world, I’m a relentless optimist. Apologies in advance.
