It was a pretty bad sprain - I was on crutches for a few weeks and even now, two months later, I still can't run. Because of my injury, I pretty much stopped working out entirely, even though there was nothing wrong with the rest of my body. Instead of going to the YMCA, I sat on the back deck, ankle elevated, and drank countless IPAs and glasses of rosé. Not exactly the healthiest few weeks of my life, but I had a good-enough excuse.
