I love this reminder of all the ways we need, support, belong to communities tiny and great. As an introvert, I am too often compelled to withdraw, but when I count all the communities I rely on for peace of heart and mind, I realize how much I need and love to reach out.
I really “related” to your thoughts about creating community. As we get older our friends become even more important It takes time to nourish those important relationships and select communities. Thank you!
This is so true! I'm entering the stretch of life where friendships are expected to take a backseat to other priorities (kids, careers, etc.) so being thoughtful and intentional feels extra necessary right now.

Always love your writing Chrissy and this hit home even more as I’m navigating building new community on the other side of the world. Thanks for sharing yourself and helping foster a feeling of connection no matter where we are!
Leslie, thank you so much for this kind and generous comment! I'm so glad this one resonated - it was a little more personal and I debated sending it. Also: your new home is so lucky to have you. <3

Yes! All the little ways we belong add up.
Hello, my dear old friend! It is good to see you in my inbox every few weeks :-)
And it's equally good to see you here! <3
Highly recommend the new book by Casey Plett, ON COMMUNITY: https://www.biblioasis.com/shop/new-releases/on-community/
I ordered this so fast!! I'm thinking about a new writing project on this theme, so this officially counts as research. Thanks for the recommendation!
